Concerning audiophiles no, they may not be typical on buying better quality to higher end gear. Though some Chinese gear is quite good and is purchased by so-called audiophiles. But Audiophiles are still like most western shoppers on all too many other things and I'm sure many an audiophile gripes to get the cheapest crap and the likes from Wally World and the likes too.
