That is a big problem. Nike, Ikea and many other international companies don't own factories and move production to the lowest bidder in a heartbeat. This also affects safety and working conditions.

The fact that you can buy a DVD player for $50-60 is mind-boggling to me. I know it's junk. But it still has to be produced and shipped across the world before it ends up in the store.
