----------Cough!!! snort!!! coffee back up through my nose. Please US or to be more fair the typical western consumer generally could not give a rats arse about fit 'n' finish for the most part. Why do you all think Wal Mart is the largest discount super store in the world? The typical western world shopper today on most things they buy (unless they are better educated to see value over price on the product(s)) only care about getting it the cheapest.
The wiser consumer knows when and where to balance the lowest price to the better value. Somethings I buy that are generally throw away I get with the cheapest price. Other things I want and value to think I am getting fair to good value are important to me. If these still are the cheaper or cheapest ones then GREAT!!! But if I have to pay a little more I will. However I know I'm likely not typical of most consumers who generally just want to pi$$ away their paycheques and/or run up their credit cards buying more CRAP! and expect it all to be just the cheapest stuff around.
I have nothing against made in China. I have some good stuff from there. They are where Made in Japan was 30-40 years ago and will move forward like Japan did. I do not excuse dangerous goods or misrepresentation of goods but I just hold the general quality overall of many products made there higher than the I hold the attitudes of the typical western world shopper who loves to spend money on cheap crap but also along with being worse expecting even better quality products and services to be cheap in price.
