It could be modulation with the music signal. I think Al Sekela might be the RFI authority here. Whatever I state in regard to possible causes is purely speculative (or in other words, might be totally wrong), aside from the notion that I think some ghastly-ill effect is taking place.
A great demonstration is to play a vinyl LP while a CD player is hooked up to the same system and running, and then play the same LP with the CD player powered down and totally removed from the system.
