Experience with Eastern Electric MiniMax BBA?

Does anyone have any experience using the Eastern Electric MiniMax BBA Tube Buffer as a buffer, i.e., not as their preamp, but inserting it between their SACD/Cd player and a line amp. It sound slike a good idea and there are favorable reviews on the internet, but some personal experiences/opinions would be greatly appreciated. It would be inserted between a Marantz SA15-S1 and a Michael Yee Audio LA-1 line amp.
