when a story (putting the speakers on a hot stove to take a pic for eBay and then leaving them on there w/ the smell and all long enough to do that) is just to totally absurd to be true, it's likely someone being smart enough to come up with a simple way to disclose the damage, but not get into the embarrassing details....

What I want to know, as an enquiring mind, is how could this have *really* happened? spiteful girlfriend? found them in a dump like this? I dunno.
