Hello Vic D,
Patricia Barber was the other artist I wanted to include without prattling on, and the bass strings you mention mirror my thoughts exactly.
The Verses album may hold some of M. Arnopols most consistent efforts but Companion {The Bass on track 4} live at The Green Mill in Chicago may be they're most " Live " sounding album. Cafe Blue and her early album "Distortion of Love" Antilles Records, get my vote for the most involving and surrealistic sound!
