Love all the Eva stuff but every time I listen I wonder how much better she might have sounded if recorded by a real pro instead of locally around DC by her boyfriend/bassist. But the fact that her voice and passion transcend the mediocre recordings is a testament to her God-given talents. Damn I wish I'd seen her live before she died ... Check Brown came to Bowie (MD) to the high school she graduated from, which was doing a black-tie event for the opening of a new community theater buidling attached to the school, and he performed some duets with her on a big screen in the background, kind of like Nat and Natalie only better. Man she died too early ...
