You can catalog its faults, distortion and physical vulnerability, but you can't deny its warmth.""Warmth" is a subjective term that is not necessarily "good" in everyone's view..... (Too often, "warmth" is artificially applied to a track, and it has almost no semblance to a sonic presentation that is naturally "warm.") The one thing I personally think puts vinyl playback over digital playback is that vinyl simply captures more of the nuances in performance (inner details, inflections, microdynamics, etc.) that are heard live but are so difficult to resolve in home audio playback.
