To add to David's exellent post, amplifiers are not only not tested with music, most are not tested with speakers connected either. In the vast majority of cases, the amplifier is tested with a 8 ohm or 4 ohm load resister attached to it's outputs. Speakers are reactive loads, constantly fluctuating in impedence.
