Amazingly enough I've had excellent results shipping overseas with the USPS. It's mostly been LPs ($12+or-), but several years ago I shipped a $2000 CD player to Taiwan for about $40 and it arrived unscathed in about 4 business days. (Fedex and DHL were much more expensive and took longer.) One of the things you will likely encounter is the issue of duties. Most overseas buyers will want you to declare a much lower value than they pay for the item which means you can't insure it for anything close to what you're paid. Make certain you get your money upfront and establish that the buyer is assuming the risk. If they won't agree to this, walk away.
