International shipping: US to Italy?

(I did a forum search and results were 5+years old)

Looking for advice on shipping a component from US to Italy.

I am selling a preamp ~30#. I have an interested party that wants it shipped to Italy, but at my expense (to be negotiated).

Is there a prefered international carrier to Italy at a reasonable cost? Are they all about the same? I have access to FedX and DHL close by. Also USPS.
