Geoff Emerick, who was the recording engineer for many of the Beatles albums and singles, spoke for a couple hours at the New York chapter of the Recording Academy last week. Really fascinating stuff, and is all in the book he wrote with Howard Massey called "Here, There and Everywhere". If you want to know the details of what happened during that amazing time, get it and read it. (And yes, if you don't remember the 60's, you were probably there.)
