I went from an NEC to a JVC 1010 to an Arcam CD23 to my present Sony SCD 9000 EX and have found an improvement each time. The greatest improvement was had when getting the Arcam, although I miss the JVC that sounded quite good and was built like a tank. Sold it for $125 a number of years ago. it was mint, had all the original packaging and paperwork and all.

Strange how money becomes a relative thing when one has the need to upgrade.

I have a Linn Genki that sounds quite good in a second system, but you know I still believe that the JVC would have sounded as good and I would still have that money in my pocket had I not sold it ...
