I was told as a child, that I would be blind by age twenty.
I had usable vision into my forties. Pretty damn lucky.
Planned ahead. No shock or surprises.

It would be very different for someone who suddenly lost something.

This blind audiophile gets total WAF on all things audio.
Now you CAN weep at that. :-)
