...and it may not be too late to have at least partial recovery via HBOT. Please see my reply to your other post.

HBOT is relatively expensive and relatively time consuming. The trick is to find a private clinic (hospitals will *not* treat "off label" conditions) close to your home, so as to minimize the travel time. Then you are looking at 1.25 hours per treatment, five days a week for at least four months. This is not trivial, but it may be worth it to you. (Also you would probably get some sense of whether or not the therapy is helping after only one or two months.)

The cost is the other factor. A typical clinic charges $150 per session. So that could add up to $12,000 for 80 treatments. Certainly not chump change, but perhaps worth it. The biggest problem is not knowing for sure how much recovery you will get. I would be surprised if you didn't get *some* recovery. But obviously there are no guarantees.

(For example, HBOT promotes hair regrowth due to male pattern baldness. I have experienced mild hair regrowth after 160 treatments, but certainly nothing in proportion to the time and expense of 160 treatments -- not even close!)

But do some legwork and contact the private clinics in your area. There are no guarantees, but it is conceivable that a clinic would treat you at a reduced rate simply as a test case. Some clinics are simply attempts to cash in on the latest alternative therapies and wouldn't do this. But other clinics are less driven by the profit motive and might help out with a discount if you absolutely cannot pay the full rate.
