You can purchase one of these bags made from reinforced nylon and designed for home use for around $15,000. They only use air, not pure oxygen. The maximum pressure is 1.3 atmospheres. Traditional HBOT is performed at 1.5 to 2.5 atmospheres, depending on the condition being treated.

Not many studies have been done with these. It is within the realm of possibility that they may offer lesser benefits than a true hyperbaric oxygen chamber for specific conditions, but what is the point? If they were $1,000 and gave you half the benefit, it might make sense. But they cost as much as 100 treatments in a real chamber and probably only give less than 20% of the benefit in the best case scenarios. I would say that for most conditions that the benefits of these low-pressure, air supplied bags are negligible.
