Hello again,

I'd say that the differences you're experiencing are due to fluctuations in the voltage, caused by more demand being made on the mains around tea-time and the evenings which your current PS Audio filter won't effect.

My own system used to be harsh at the same time until I bought a PS Audio Power Plant which among other things keeps the voltage constant.

I've owned mine for quite a few years now with no problems and it's powered up 24/7.
