...check out the in-line passive crossovers called FMOD's and also the PFMOD's by Harrison Labs.

I have used the PFMOD's in several different systems and while they certainly do the job as advertised, they degraded the signal too much to be a permanent fixture. They added a graininess to the signal and the soundstage shrunk considerably. Maybe using 1 PFMOD on each channel would help restore the soundstage but the graininess was unacceptable...at least for me anyway.

I have not used the FMOD's so I can't comment on those. Might be worth a shot.
