Dear Fellow Inmates,

I am copying a portion of a Pipe Organ forum announcing and discussing OrganLive, and it seems all of live365.com programming, upgrading their streaming resolution.

Organlive.com, the internet audio station dedicated to the music of the classical organ is now broadcasting at 96kbps MP3Pro. It doesn't matter if you know what that means or not, all you need to know is our 24-hour free stream of organ music sounds 50% better than it did before. Since the beginning we've been driven to deliver the highest-quality audio to your desktop, and now Live365 has allowed us to upgrade our signal, giving even (required) higher-fidelity to the music in our broadcast.

I'm posting this on Sunday morning, so if you tune in today, you'll hear a focus on hymns and choral anthems, as well as baroque music. If you don't make it until Monday then you'll hear our Modern Mondays where we focus on music of the 20th and 21st centuries. All of this is interspersed with the music you request from our library.

To tune in absolutely free and hear Organlive like you've never heard it before, go to http://www.organlive.com/ and click the link that says "Click here to tune in". Once you're listening, you can then browse our entire library and request the music you want to hear. You can start your search from http://www.organlive.com/index.php?m=5 .

besides the live 365 player, is there another player that Organ Live can be played from? I got a free live 365 player but it only gives me a trial of

35 hours. once that is used up, unless there is another program, I cant listen to it.

thanks

Hi Daniel,

Sure, you can listen to Live365 through their pop-up browser player.

You can also tune in using iTunes. Just open the URL http://www.live365.com/play/organistbrent or with Windows Media Player, WinAmp, or just about any streaming MP3 player by opening the URL http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/wmp.asx?site=wmp&name_type=str&station=1311209.

You can tell Live365 which player to open by default by going to http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/personalize.cgi (you may have to log in,

first) and adjusting the settings.
