I have used one or two RA products that have positively degraded the sound in my system, and I returned them for refund.

A few other products had no audible effect that I could discern, although other listeners claimed to hear improvements.

Other RA products had profound effects for the better - a mains conditioner and some power cords with Wattgate IEC connectors in particular.

Horses for courses? Tweaks of this sort are surely system-dependent, and to condemn all of them seems to be an illogical over-reaction.
