People with a more mainstream scientific view wanted to execute Gallilao for suggesting that the earth was not the centre of the universe, ridiculed the Wright brothers for claiming they had built a flying machine........

Let's put it this way. the best equipment I've ever heard was built by designers who used objective measurements as an aid, not as a master.

I've no problem with my interpretation being questioned, just a wee problem with those who don't question, rather they give their own answers and dismiss alternatives which are perhaps beyong their understanding.
