Audiogon's business policy

Audiogon was recently acquired by the parent company (Primemedia) that owns Stereophile, look at the Stereophile classified ads- they are a mirror image of Audiogon. When a big mega conglomerate gets a new company, things will usually change. For smaller hobby based companies like mine with a low or no budget for advertising, Audiogon was a great way to showcase goods to a target audience for a very reasonable price. The new policy several months back of charging companies more for (business) ads or paying a monthly fee to join their GUILD for a discount has driven many away. There used to be an average of about 300-350 new ads every week day, it now seems to be down considerably.

BTW- I'm not sure if they got a new server, but when A-gon is loading slow, as it seems to do most of the time recently when I surf, just go to the Stereophile classifieds... NO WAITING!
