How many rooms were playing classical music?

I find that classical music, especially of solo instruments like the piano and cello, can ofte make a speaker that sounds just fine, even spectacular on popular music reveal its limitations. At the last HE show I attended, virtually all rooms playing classical music sounded less than superb, though a few sounded pretty good. One could say it's the size of the rooms or it's the lack of time to really tune the room, but my experience in stores and homes is the same. Most of the people attending are not classical music fans, so there's no strong incentive to play it.
