I know where the irritation with the Blue LED's comes from since most are super bright. The ones on my Odyssey monoblocks are too bright for my tastes. During the day theyre fine but at night when i just want to listen to music in pure blackness they bother me a bit. Plus they light up the entire room like a night light since I keep the amps on 24/7.

There are blue LED's available that arent so bright though. i used some from mouser that were "blue diffused" on a headphone amp I built and it was much better than the standard. I wish more manufacturers used these. I do prefer blue led's to the regular old green or red ones though just because its a nice color.
