RE: blue LEDs, can we stop them

I just got A Marantz SA11S1 and much to my supprise It has a row of blue light on either side of the display. Its looks like the ambi light on the Phillips Plasma TVs.
They can be turned off luckily. I guess they figured for the price one led was not enough.
I like blue, but thats a bit much.
