Sometimes blue can look quite striking. I've always liked the blue of the 70s Marantz pieces.

One case of blue that I can't stand is the little blue light they put on the front of the Monster power conditioners. That lil sucker could burn an image in your eyes from 20 feet. It needs a resistor or something on it to calm it down, or a different color, or....the cheapest fix of all, a piece of black electrical tape.
