Try L&M home entertainment on Warner Road. It's kind of a new place but if you want to check out McIntosh in all it's glory I'm thinking it's a world class audio shop. It has, by a large margin, more rooms and more nice setups than any other shop in the the valley. Dali, Linn and Sonus Faber are also on display. I've never bought anything there but it is an excellent visit.
If you're in the Bell Road area stop in at Audionut.com - a small shop, nice guys, with Naim and a couple of other worthwhile lines. Esoteric Audio (Vandersteen, Wilson, Rowland, Ayre) and Arizona HiFi (nothing but tubes - AR, Manley, Melody and many others), already mentioned are great stores too.
On University near Mill in Tempe there's a couple of record shops about 1/2 block apart. Zia Record Exchange and Eastside Records and Tapes.
For vinyl Phoenix is pretty good but it's not Seattle or the LA area.
Give me rhythm or give me death!
