Actually, that was pretty much why I sold it, too. In the early days, I didn't trust my ears very much, nor did I know a lot about digital technology, so I was easily swayed by reviews and other people's opinions. I let the Stereophile review lead me away from the Timbre, which was a mistake. It was an awesome DAC. Do you know what the company's principals are up to today? They definitely knew their stuff.
