You can try the Olive Musica but it will set you back $1500 for 250GB (or $1100 for 160GB)... but I -think- you can attach your own external USB drive for more capacity.
If you want something truly inexpensive, you'll have to be a little more creative. I'm using the Slim Devices Squeezebox. It's not what you described but it's cheap and easy to setup.
I have my music collection on my PC ripped using iTunes. The Squeezebox attaches to my network either wired or via wireless and streams the audio into my preamp to the rest of my system. It's convenient, easy to set up, and cheap. About $250.
