HI Dave,
Often the supplied transformer will have alternative wiring for the primary windings that will accomodate 110V. With those types it is just a matter of rewiring the transformer, replacing the fuse with one suited for the 110 Volts current draw and replacing the wall plug/power cord.

To do this you will have to obtain a schematic to see if it is possible. If you are handy with electronics it will be a pretty simple job. If your not, and you can get a schematic, you friendly local repairman should be able to help you.
