Pardon me?

"as generation "X" graduates from their Ipods and Mpeg players"

I was born in 1970. Right smack in the middle of Generation X. And here is what I gotta say about that:

MP3'S?? MP3'S? We don't need no stinking MP3's!!

Actually, I like to rip DVD-V 24/96 recordings to my hard drive and play them back bit perfectly. Ahhhh... How smooth digital can sound at 4.608 mbs instead of a mere Redbook 1.411 mbs. When you start getting digital to sound vinyl smooth while retaining all of that precious detail and none of that "digital glare" or "edge", you're really getting into some hair-raising listening experiences.

Not to mention all of the guys "my age" that are total vinyl/analogue only disciples and don't use digital at all...

Seriously dude. Generation X is high-end audio's last hope. It's Generation "Y" that is going to kill high-end. They think good quality cameras and music players only come on cell phones.

HELLO MOTO!!

If you buy a new baseball glove for a Generation Y kid, he'll get frustrated because he can't find where the batteries go - or the USB port to upload his favorite MP3's.

The end is near... but it's not Gen X's fault - just because we invented the internet, and file sharing...

Cheers,
Presto
