Accuracy -- to the disc

That's what I construe that you mean. Certainly, this is the main goal of my system building. It's the only thing way for a great recording sound its best.

But accuracy to the disc is difficult to measure -- objectively or subjectively. For a start, you would would need mastering recording played back in the original mixing studio on the original equipment.

In the home, the nearest approximation would have to include, (among other things, no doubt), (1) minimizing reflections, especially early reflections, and (2) equalization to level both equipment and room response variations.
