Ours have the Hubbell 8300s. I have one with Oyaide XXXes on order. But anyway, the PW 8300 is a valuable tool for me and my colleagues. I just feel that with the PW 8300, I can more easily hear what the powercords and gear are doing. Other powerline conditioners seem to twist and mold the sound here, there, and everywhere.
Indeed, the PW 8300 has been critical in helping us evaluate the Cary CD 303/300 and the myriad tubes we've rolled in it. With the PW 8300, the differences between tubes are unambiguous.
We also appreciate that the PW 8300, regardless of where we've taken it, performs consistently. It shows no bias to the $100 gear we've thrown at it, or the $10,000 gear we've lashed up. Unlike some other PLCs, the PW does not make noise or give off heat.
But, there's the subject of getting a Wing in another Corian color. Let's spare Alan, and not open that can of worms :-)
