Clark, on another Audio forum site a member posted a question about reversing signal polarity.My question to you is why an Artist like Dave Grusin would deliberately reverse the signal polarity of his recording?
Example is the Sheffield Lab vinyl LP of Dave Grusin, "Discovered Again", from 1976.
And then go on to tell you;
Audio Note: "For optimum Transient response and spatial clarity, we recommend that the polarity of BOTH channels be reversed at the speaker terminals (+ output terminal on power amplifier to - terminal on speaker and vice versa), however this procedure is not necessary for perfectly satisfactory playback."Again why did he reverse the polarity to begin with? I also understand that Frank Zappa recorded his music with reverse polarity.
