...I would never buy Watt/Puppies, for the simple reason that many other manufacturers have proven that it is possible to design a speaker that sounds great and looks great too. The latest Kef Reference series, the big Sonus Fabers, big Dynaudios, etc. all look sharp *and* sound great.The Watt/Puppies DO look like very carefully constructed trash receptacles! Sometimes they also look to me like ominous alien robots about to extend an uncomfortable tissue probe.
Well there's one other reason I wouldn't buy these: I could take the money, build myself a set of Linkwitz Orions, and have enough left over to buy season tickets to the symphony for many, many years.
