the tacho does show a higher than average reading. My car has continuous variable transmission, and the car drops to a fractionally lower gear ratio in wet weather. presumably to increase traction.i don't know how it "knows" that the weather is wet. maybe the gearbox is tied to the measurement data coming for the EBC.
i'm surprised by how many sensors the car has. for example, it even has a tilt sensor so it can apply engine braking (again, by lowering gear ratio) when the car goes down a hill.
