Unfortunately I can't add much on your choices, but I can recommend the Belles 150A as an amp I'm quite happy with. Pretty nuetral so it could be bright or grainy depending on what's upstream. It'd be slightly over your buget at $1,195 but close with a 10% discount or less used. Also a McCormack DNA .5 might be attainable used in your price range.Lots of folks do like Rotel as well but I have no experience.
