I have Dynaudio Audience 42 being driven by NAD C320BEE amplifier with a DVD player as a source . All cables are KIMBER(IC is KIMBER TIMBER , speaker cable being 4TC). Sometimes I listen to MP3 recorded CD , in which a large no of songs are compressed in normal storage space of a Cd. we all know that the more we compress there will be loss of some frequencies from the original recording. I have a doubt whether playing such MP3 may damage my set up (speaker in particular )? This set up is quite expensive from my perspective and I have been able to own them with great difficulty.I play only with volume knob at 9 to 10'O clock position. Please clarify my doubt. should I stop playing MP3 CD .

- I wonder if this is a rumor being spread by the RIAA. ;-) {nt] - David Spear 19:29:32 01/02/04 (0)

- The lower quality of MP3s (even MP3s of Brittney Spears) will not damage your system. [nt] - David Spear 02:36:33 01/02/04 (2)
- How do you tell the difference? I was unaware of hi-quality BS. nt - Tromatic 07:45:44 01/02/04 (1)
- Actually, all my MP3s of Brittney are encoded at 0 kbps. They sound better than her CDs! [nt] - David Spear 01:32:30 01/03/04 (0)
