My wife has plenty of influence. She is a competent musician with good ears, so she can hear differences as much as I can. I value her opinion. Our primary constraints are budgetary, and I will say that I tend to push farther in that regard than she does - but I push farther with *all* of our expenditures, so that's no difference. She's just more of a saver than I am. But aesthetically, she cares far more about the sound than she does about the looks.My wife is a good-looking woman, but prefers substance over form - which is just another way of saying that I'm ugly, so my speakers can be, too!
