.....for all speaker decisions and slight influence for electronics."I don't care what you buy as long as it's pretty," is the standard line. In my case, that means the speakers must be small boxes - either monitors or floorstanders that are about 40" x 8/9"w x 8-13"d. That's the compromise. (Proac, Dynaudio, Joseph, Merlins?, etc.) There's plenty to choose from. Just can't get things like AP Virgos or Avantis, Quad, Martin Logan, Wilson, Thiel, etc.
Also, speaker cables absolutely cannot look like "snakes in my living room!!" So, adios to Bob Crump's fantastic TG Audio HSR cables. My current Cardas Golden Ref are now under review as we are moving into a new house.
Oh, well. Pick and choose the battles and this one is fine the way it is.
