It seems as if the promise of CD and secret to unlocking it have been solved. A special key sequence, available on any CD/DVD player, has been unambigously sorted out and uncovered by two AA member of known repute (Initials are TK and JL). It has been independently confirmed by several individuals. What they/we HEAR is described in the following quote:"The difference I hear is in resolving the finest of details. Things like hearing the hall's shell, the *sparkle* of triangle, the "sheen" of a cymbal, the natural harmonics of a violin, the continuity of attack and decay of a piano. "Air" between the instruments. Brass sounding "sweet" instead of "hard." The ease of hearing a harmonic line. "Splashy" dynamics morphing into "bass slam." A *huge* improvement in stage depth. "
The amazing thing is that this is available to almost all owners of CD/DVD players. The better the player/system, the more unambiguous the result.
I have my own theory about why this is so but would like more confrimation within the AA community about the adible improvement on their systems. Takes five minutes to find out. It would fall into the category of Earth Shattering News [a.k.a General Asylum News...maybe Nobel Prize :) ]
