On Friday Fedex delivered a pair of Shamrock Eire's that I bought used from an Audiogon Member.
Well fedex managed to drop the plywood box and one of the midbass driver's magnets fell off.It sure was one heck of a fall to seperate the magnet from the driver.
To Mike's credit the cabinets were in tact and not damaged.
I called Mike, who had no obligation to me as the speakers were bought used.He walked me through in determining the problem as the driver on the speaker did not work.He made me feel as if I had bought the speakers new from him.
On Monday he is going to order a driver and have it dropped ship to my house.
The seller Greg(gotog on audiogon) has also been super with several follow calls and promptly filed a claim with fedex.
Mike is one class act and has provided support typical of that of a buyer of a new pair from him.
I wanted to thank Mike on this forum for his great service. He is a great guy to speak to.
If the sound from the good speaker is indicative of the pair I'm in for a treat once the pair is up and running.
I'll post my impressions later.
PS I am not affiliated with Shamrock Audio in any way.
