I received terrific info and feedback from Bob Neill, Kal and NickR recently -- thank you! -- you have all certainly evolved my thinking --last night was the first time that I had an opportunity to listen to the system "unbalanced" -- and certainly there was increased RFI -- Paul Marks at Thor Audio gave me a generalization that balanced topography would lower RFI but also give up 3 points of db -- so as I continue to weigh a decision as to how to maximize my sonics going now from balanced to unbalanced, I wanted to ask the group if they could recommend a high quality yet not costing an arm and a leg "passive transformer" for unbalanced to balanced conversation. I look forward to your additional thoughts on the matter. If you do not think this is a viable approach -- I will shelve the initiative and continue to ask questions.
