WPFW -- 98.3 FM in the Washington, DC region. Mostly jazz of all stripes, also world music, blues, soul, and some news/talk programming. A Pacific station. 100% independent and listener-supported. No ads, no public or corporate money.http://www.wpfw.org
WAMU 88.5 FM in the Washington DC region.
I only listen to WAMU on the weekend. During the week they are 100% talk NPR.
On Saturday night, they play old time Big Band and swing.
On Sunday mornings, they play bluegrass, with the high-light being the Ray Davis show from approx 10 am to 1 PM (Eastern time).
Then, from 1 to 3 PM famed musicologist Dick Spottswood comes on and plays the most obscure pre-WWII music you'll ever enjoy and never hear again. He plays 78s from his personal collection of tens of thousands of records. Emphasis on American roots music.
I believe you can also hear WAMU on the web.

These two stations are the only beacons of light in the sludge that is the DC corporate radio sewer.
