I've seen these connectors before, and have to ask whether they're worth it if your not into expensive hifi jewellery? If the connector is almost as good as having no connector at all, why not get rid of the connector in the first place? Hard-wiring seems to be the way to go for purity, unless one is reviewing equipment for a living. And Todd, I say this with the greatest of respect, because I like reading what you have to say. Also, surely the not inconsiderable mass has a significant effect on the sound itself? Stray EMF currents or fields have much more metal to interact with, no matter how pure it is. My feeling is that the less time the music signal spends in the connector, and the system as a whole, the more chance I have of receiving the musical signal as it was recorded/intended.
They do look nice though, even though they're unlikely to be seen much once installed. Perhaps they're intended as a tribute to those long sufferers of Audiophilia Nervosa.
