Re: I disagree that Bryston is bright and hard

Bryston is just honest. If a Bryston system sounds "bright" then it is a reflection of some other component in the system. But that is not necessarily a problem.

The kind of people who complain of "bright" systems are usually the kind of people who have to take maalox before a meal. The same kind of people who prefer a "airbrushed" nude to a "live" nude.

The fact is that live music is much "brighter" than some people can stand. The problem arises when people blame the "brightness" on a component rather than admitting the reproduction is too accurate and their ears can't handle anything approaching live music.
