The HCA-3500 is a case of an amplifier that is about as close as any will get to state of the art electrically, but I found it unlistenable in stock configuration.....The simple fix is to change out the feedback resistors, R-44, for Holco 47K 1/2 watters and check the AC polarity as some batches were connected incorrectly.....The units are an absolute bargain in terms of design and parts quality......
