That is like taking a Toyota Camry, and putting Toyota/Lexus 300 engine, tranny and suspension in it, isn't it?Now you have got it............well done.
They don't sell the Aristo in Australia. They don't sell the Aristo in the States. So in our countries it isn't a rebadged Toyota. They don't sell the Lexus in Japan. They sell a Toyota Aristo. Why? Because in Japan they have no stigma attached to paying lots of money for a Toyota Aristo, instead of buying a Merc etc. In the States & down here when you spend them big bucks you want some prestige (like owning a ML product) & there Aint no prestige in owning a car called a Toyota so they sell us Lexus. We all know it's a bleeding Toyota, But it's very different to any Toyota in the States or down here, Hence we don't call it a rebadged Toyota. Can we start a car forum?
