I infer you mean between 5kHz and 10Khz. This is a very high frequency
for a cabinet resonance. Not that I doubt you, but in what "part" of the music (male voice, female voice, trumpet, etc...) do you hear the resonance ?If it is this high in frequency methinks it is the tweeter or a resonance nasty in the crossover.
(I have heard loose binding posts vibrate at fairly high frequencies when disturbed by certain low frequencies !).
